    New Page

Ok, so from here on out Lillian's posts and site have a new home. Check her out at
    www.lillian-takeawalkwithme.blogspot.com

It's still a work in progress. I really like blogger and the flexibility to change her background and add pictures throughout the posts. I believe you can still leave comments without a google account.

    >>>>>>>>MOTY ALERT>>>>>MOTY ALERT>>>>>>>>>

Did I try to pull Lillian's pants out from under her feet so she wouldn't fall and wind up knocking her flat on her back? Um yes...so you see, I keep on keeping on with my impeccable mothering.

Funny, I went back to a year ago in this diary and found out that we were having ear troubles this same time. Strange isn't it? Someday I'm going to have to go back and re-read through things, kinda cathartic ya know? I'm considering a new web page for Lillian. I've enjoyed this site, but it is limited. I don't love the format, my concern is losing all the info I have put in here. Keep checking back, a change maybe coming!

Early to bed Early to rise

Makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise??? Notsomuch I'm thinkin'. After a Sunday spent in the great outdoors, Lillian was totally tuckered out. She fell asleep between 730-8 last night which of course meant she was up just shortly before five this morning. Can we say napping today? I feel like I need clothespins holding up my eyelids. She is still very green and I don't think the duonebs are helping her all that much. I'll give her til tomorrow and maybe start some steroids. I hesitate to say how tickled I am that she has not thrown up in almost a month, I know, pick yourselves up off the floor. I put a size four diaper on her this morning and it was actually NOT humongous. Feedings are still going really well, (ok, she threw up yesterday but only after some really hard coughing during a feeding) Her ears are still draining tons of stuff, but hopefully we are keeping that at bay with the drops. I leave you with a pic of more fun outside yesterday!

What we expect of our children...

Yes, you guessed it, we make her work for her room and board and upkeep....lol. But really, we were able to attain a lawn mower, new to us, and much to my surprise Lillian LOVED it. She rode around with Daddy and had a blast. If you recall the pic of the "new" house we will be moving to you might have noticed a push mower was just not going to do the job....

    Ears, ears, ears, oh my

No surprise, even after being examined and found clear in the ears yesterday, today Lillian's ears are both draining copious amounts of green junk. Ew. She is still in a great mood and feedings are still going ok, just gotta hope we have started those drops as soon as possible to nip it in the bud. Yuck, yuck, yuck.

    Pulmonary Follow Up

Today Lillian visited with her buddy Nancy up at Riley. I don't know what it is about a trip to Riley, but it just takes the wind out of my sail. UGH. Did not help that I only got about four hours of sleep last night. Her little cold has developed into some wheezing in the left lung. even after a breathing treatment...arg. We must keep our fingers crossed that this goes no farther. Matt and I have been on pins and needles just "knowing" she is going to have to go back up there for a stay. It seems even more plausible since she is seemingly worsening. *sighs* I sort of breezed over the KY trip. I really feel like they are on a need to know basis when everything actually takes place. I don't want them cancelling our date up there. Just in case.

In other news, please continue to pray for Dagny Kowal. This is a little girl who was in the NICU the same time as Lillian. Her poor mother is having the same kind of experiences as we have and her daughter has serious heart issues. She is in the PICU currently with a strep infection. She is so precious and smart and I was so impressed with her signing. Cara, her Mom, has two other little girls at home as well and well, you know from reading this blog how challenging it is. They and so many others are on my heart. It is difficult to talk with parents who have lost their children or like us have been told their child will die. I cannot explain the feelings I have. I will stop now before I start bawling. I leave you with a pic of Lillian taken a couple days ago.
